Assignment 1.1: Multimedia

What is Multimedia?

   Multimedia is the field concerned with the computer-controlled integration of text, graphics, drawings, still and moving images, animation, audio, and any other media where every type of information can be represented, stored, transmitted and processed digitally. The five components of Multimedia are Text, Images, Audio, Video, and Animation.

The components of Multimedia that were most used in this project were Video, Audio, Images, and Animation.

 Video was most used as the whole project was filmed and captured movement.

 Audio was used when we heard sound effects and Melissa and others speaking.

Imagery was used with the landscapes and locations.

Animation was used when we saw the animals attacking Melissa and her falling through the ice, off a cliff, into a boat, etc.

Imagery was used with the photos that would appear on every slide.

Text was used on every slide to give us information about its cause.

Audio was used with the background music.

Animation was used during transitions and other parts.

Text was used occasionally to guide the player throughout the game.

Audio was used with sounds and effects and music.

Animation was used with the characters when they were being controlled by the player.
