Rule of Thirds

Rule of Thirds- The rule of thirds is a powerful compositional technique for making photos more interesting and dynamic. The rule of thirds states than an image is most pleasing when its subjects or regions are composed along imaginary lines which divide the image into thirds, both vertically and horizontally.

Golden Ratio- is a number often encountered when taking the ratios of distances in simple geometric figures. 'Tis a special number found by dividing a line into two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is also equal to the whole length divided by the longer part. (a/b = (a+b)/a = 1.6180339887498948420 …)

The Rule of Thirds is a straight, vertical, and horizontal line graph. It is used for alignment. The Golden Ratio is used more often, the lines for Golden Ratio do not stay straight.
